Regulations for the organization and conduct of the doctoral studies programs in the University of Bucharest

Types of mandatory activities

Methodology regarding the encouragement of performance in the research activity of doctoral students and the respective applications.

This methodology details the access of financial support for participation at national and international scientific events, stages of documentation/research/doctoral training, public defence of theses in international cotutelle, stages abroad for the doctoral students on the Doctor Europaeus route, acquisition or leasing of materials and equipment necessary for the research activity of doctoral students, publication of scientific articles, etc.
After filling in the documents required for obtaining financial support, the doctoral students should submit them first at director@csud.unibuc.ro for checking, before obtaining the necessary signatures.

Attention:
  • the submission of the Foundation note for the financial support and of the additional documents (Accept/invitation from organizers and the Travel request for travels abroad) should take place at least 2 weeks prior to the beginning of travel or acquisition since these documents will be financially verified.
  • the Foundation note (and Travel request, if any), with all required signatures obtained, must be submitted at the Financial Registry (Rectorate building, 4th floor), from where they will be send to CSUD for approval.
  • after returning from the event/travel, the student should start the reimbursement procedure within 30 calendar days, preferably as soon as possible to avoid unwanted situations (documents missing or wrongly filled in, etc). If the student has received a down payment, he/she should submit the expense report within 3 days.
  • the invoices for reimbursement must be emitted using the particulars of the student. More details regarding the reimburcement of travels abroad can be found at: https://unibuc.ro/international/deplasari-in-strainatate/cadre-didactice/
Important: The financial support detailed in this Methodology is awarded to doctoral students only up to the submission of the doctoral theses in order for finalizing the studies

In order to evaluate the doctoral theses in line with the criteria recommended by the Physics Committee of CNATDCU, the Publication list of the doctoral student should contain the AIS (Article Influence Score) and IF (Impact Factor) of all his/her works in the domain of the thesis as well as the sums of these indicators. The qualification of the doctoral thesis is based solely of the AIS sum of the works in direct relation with the doctoral thesis.
